Home Buyers Need To Know: What’s It Like To Work With Me

Choosing a Realtor: A Strategic Decision

Choosing a Realtor is one of the most important decisions you’ll make during your home-buying journey. It’s my hope that with recent industry changes folks will be more thoughtful in choosing who they work with rather than just picking someone out of convenience (the agent who answered the phone through the Zillow tour request) or out of obligation (your cousin/best friend/neighbor who just happens to have their real estate license and sells 4-6 homes per year). It’s my hope that you will realize that it is in fact a STRATEGIC move. You will now be required to sign a Buyer Broker Agreement which outlines your working relationship with your Realtor, the timeline and expectations, and the compensation your Realtor will receive. Make sure that you’re working with a Realtor who can clearly articulate excatly what services they will be providing so that you can determine whether or not you think they will be the best fit for you.

Let me give you a behind-the-scenes look at the systems, tools, and expertise I’ve developed over the past decade to ensure my clients have not only success in their real estate goals but also the best possible experience.

A Personalized, Educational Approach

I believe that understanding the home buying process as well as the key metrics that affect pricing and demand are the keys to making smart decisions. I created a Home Buyer Boot Camp to guide you through the mechanics of the home-buying process:

  • Understanding Your Loan + Preapproval: Phase One is getting your financing in order, understanding your loan options, and your budget.
  • Submitting An Offer: Phase Two is understanding the offer process—from crafting a strategic offer to understanding the common contingencies that a buyer may include in their offer.
  • Under Contract: Phase Three is what you need to understand about the process once you have an offer accepted.

Whether you’re a first-time buyer or a home buyer who hasn’t been through the process in a few years, this boot camp ensures you have the knowledge you need to navigate the market with confidence.

In addition to the boot camp, I regularly update my blog with posts that I’ve personally written, covering everything from market trends to the nuances of buying a home. And if you’re more of a visual learner, my YouTube video library is packed with content, including market updates, relocation advice, and in-depth explorations of different communities throughout Rhode Island.

Streamlined Processes with HighNote.ai

One of the things my clients appreciate most is the structure and clarity I bring to the table. I utilize HighNote.ai to provide you with a structured TO-DO list, so you always know exactly what’s happening and who to reach out to. From the moment we start working together, you’ll have a clear understanding of the process and what’s expected.

After our first consultation, I will send you a HighNote guide that will answer questions that came up during our chat—it might include a video overview of a particular neighborhood or area to help you understand various neighborhoods/areas in your price range. It will include my list of top lender partners so that you can get started on getting a preapproval in place, and it will include additional resources as needed.

Once you’re under contract to purchase a home, I create another HighNote guide that includes everything you need to move forward confidently: contract details, home inspector referrals, deposit instructions, home insurance providers, closing attorney recommendations, and more. It’s all about making sure you have the information you need, right when you need it.

A Dedicated Team and Trusted Partners

Behind every successful transaction is a team of professionals working together to ensure a smooth process. Our team’s Transaction Coordinator (TC) is there to oversee the paperwork and legal documents, so you can focus on the excitement of finding your new home. Dates and deadlines are extremely important, and while I’m always your main point of contact, it’s important for you to know that I have additional support!

Over the years, I’ve also cultivated relationships with some of the best vendors in the industry—lenders, home inspectors, insurance providers—you name it. These are people I’ve fully vetted and trust to deliver exceptional service, so you can rest easy knowing you’re in good hands. And this goes beyond when you receive the keys to your new home, I’ve put together an entire spreadsheet of vendors that will be there to help you—electricians, plumbers, roofers, landscapers, junk removers—you name it and I’m going to make sure that you’re in good hands!

Personalized Support Every Step of the Way

I understand that the legal documents and market values involved in buying a home can be overwhelming. That’s why I go the extra mile by recording personalized Loom screen videos for my clients. In these videos, I walk you through everything you need to know, ensuring you fully understand each document, the market value of the property, and any other details that may need clarification. It’s like having a one-on-one tutorial tailored just for you.

Leveraging Industry Relationships

Real estate is as much about relationships as it is about properties. I’m constantly networking with other agents and cultivating industry relationships, which gives me a significant edge when it comes to negotiating on your behalf. These connections not only help me get your offers accepted but also open doors to off-market opportunities that other buyers might not even know exist. Ask me about off-market opportunities that my team and I have generated for recent buyers—we love sharing those success stories!

A Decade of Experience, A Lifetime of Value

It has taken me a decade to build the high level of value I offer my clients today, and I’m proud of the difference it makes in their home-buying experience. When you work with me, you’re not just getting a Realtor—you’re gaining a trusted advisor, a seasoned negotiator, and a dedicated advocate who’s invested in your success.

So, what’s it like to work with me? It’s about more than just finding a home—it’s about empowering you with the knowledge, tools, and support to make the best decisions for your future. And I’m here to make sure that every step of the way, you feel confident, informed, and excited about the journey ahead. Who you work with matters and it’s my hope that you will choose to work with me.
